Initial EMS Training - EMT Program

Become an EMT 

Seminole State's Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program can help you train as an EMT and get the skills needed to provide care to those in emergency situations.

The EMT program is the initial level of training of Seminole State's Emergency Medical Services certificate program. Our EMT program trains students in basic emergency medical procedures and is certified by the State of Florida.

Upon Completion of Program

Licensure and Certification

  • To apply for Florida EMT certification and licensure,
    graduates may take the NREMT (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians) Certification Exam.
  • To become licensed in multiple states or practice in a different state, visit the NREMT website to view individual state licensing requirements.

Please note-If you want to become a Paramedic, State of Florida EMT certification is a prerequisite to Seminole State's Paramedic program course.
