37th annual Foundation Dream Gala raises over $428,000
Capturing the excitement and vibrance of Mardi Gras, the Foundation for Seminole State College held it’s 37th annual Dream Gala at the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary on Saturday, May 22, with over $428,000 raised for student scholarships, faculty programs support and areas of greatest need throughout the College.
Carts lined up in preparation for the 2021 Dream Cup on April 19. Though the event was rained out, a follow-up event is planned for June 21.

Rain couldn’t keep Seminole State’s amazing supporters away from Dream Cup
Though the 38th annual Dream Cup was rained out, the Foundation for Seminole State College is taking a “mulligan” and hosting a follow-up event at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes on Monday, June 21.
On a Zoom screen, 14 people are in costume from the characters of "Love's Labour's Lost" their names are the names of their characters.

Seminole State theater presents Shakespeare’s ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’
The Center for Fine and Performing Arts at Seminole State College of Florida will present William Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labour’s Lost” via Zoom on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
Dr. Regina Bradley, Assistant Professor of English and African Diaspora Studies at Kennesaw State University, is the author of Boondock Kollage: Stories from the Hip Hop South.

Seminole State Speaker Series and Zora Festival host Dr. Regina Bradley
Seminole State’s ongoing Speaker Series hosted its second event of the 2020-21 academic year on Wednesday, Jan. 27. In partnership with the 32nd Annual Zora Neale Hurston® Festival of the Arts and Humanities (ZORA!® Festival), the Speaker Series presented a Zoom webinar with Dr. Regina N. Bradley, author of Boondock Kollage: Stories from the Hip Hop South.
Seminole State students presented "Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" virtually in November 2020. Five bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, avoiding the wedding proceedings below. The play provided the students a way to perform safely from their own homes while the event was shown via Zoom.
